Terms and Conditions of Service
1. Introduction
Welcome to Glitter N’ Glow ("we", "us", "our", “our artists”). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our mobile makeup services and ‘pop-up makeup bar’ (“service”, “services”). By booking and using our services, you (“you”, “the client”, “the client’s party”) agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Services

We're here to make it shine, let's collaborate and make your event unforgettable!
Our skilled artists are fully equipped with a variety of products and are experienced to handle all kinds of events. However, please note that our ‘makeup bar’ does not include any backdrop, flooring or gazebo and is for touch-ups and minor changes only. We do not offer full makeup applications or full hair styling services and any glitter application will be a maximum ‘hand sized’ unless otherwise quoted.
For more information as to the range of services that we offer, please visit our website located at www.glitternglow.com.au.
2.2. Completion of Services
These Terms are to be read in conjunction with the provided quote and, in the event of inconsistency between these Terms and the contents of the quote, the contents of the quote will prevail to the extent of any such inconsistency.
The client acknowledges that any services which are not expressly included within the quote and the provision of any such services, may attract additional fees.
Whilst our artists will certainly do their best to provide everyone at the event with a service, we operate our ‘makeup bar’ strictly on a ‘line up for service’ basis. This means that depending on the number of persons in attendance, we cannot guarantee that all persons attending an event will be serviced within the allocated quoted time.
In order for us to ensure that our clients receive the best possible experience, the client acknowledges that in undertaking the services, we may, from time to time, delegate or sub-contract any portion of the services.
3. Service Area
Our services are available within the Gold Coast region. If you are outside this area, additional travel fees may apply.
4. Booking
To book our services, please book through our website located at www.glitternglow.com.au or by contacting us at glitternglowmakeupbar@outlook.com. Following your enquiry, we will prepare a quote to cater for your event. The quote incorporates these Terms and any booking made in acceptance of the quote will include these Terms as part of our contract with you.
A deposit of 50% is due at the time of accepting our quote and is required in order to secure your booking. Subject to our cancellation policy, the deposit is non-refundable, non-transferable and will be applied towards the total cost of the service.
5. Payment Terms
5.1. Payment Methods
We accept payments via cash or bank transfer. All payments must be made in Australian dollars.
5.2. Payment Schedule
A 50% deposit is due upon booking, and the remaining balance is due four (4) weeks prior to the day of service or at the time of the booking, whichever is later (“balance payment”). If the balance payment is not paid by this time stipulated, we reserve the right to cancel the appointment without any further notice.
5.3. Late Payments
Late payments may incur an interest charge of 15% per annum, calculated daily from the due date until the date of payment in full.
6. Cancellation and Refund Policy
6.1. Client Cancellations
If you need to cancel your booking, please notify us at least two (2) weeks in advance of the cancellation. For client cancellations made with at least two (2) weeks’ notice provided, we will provide a refund of any balance payment and return half of the deposit paid.
Any cancellation where the client has not provided at least two (2) weeks’ notice will result in a refund of any balance payment, however, any deposit will be non-refundable.
6.2. Artist Cancellations
In the unlikely event where we need to cancel your booking, we will provide a full refund. We will also make every effort to reschedule your appointment at a mutually convenient time.
6.3. Refunds
Refunds are only provided in the event of a cancellation by us. No refunds will be given for dissatisfaction with the service once it has been completed. Nothing in these terms replaces or excludes the client’s rights under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) and under Australian Consumer Law.
For more information please see https://www.accc.gov.au/consumers/buying-products-and-services/consumer-rights-and-guarantees.
7. Changes to Bookings
7.1. Rescheduling
If you need to reschedule your booking, please contact us at least two (2) weeks in advance. Any rescheduling may result in your booking being ‘cancelled’ in accordance with our cancellation policy and may result in any deposit being non-refundable at our sole discretion.
7.2. Changes in Services
We will endeavour to accommodate any change of booking request at our sole discretion. We are not compelled or obligated to agree to any change of booking or alteration of any appointment.
Any changes in services must be communicated to us in writing at least two (2) weeks in advance of the booking.
In the event that we agree to a client request to change a booking due to a change of the client’s circumstances, including a decline of attendees, the total price agreed upon at commencement of the booking and the deposit paid, will remain the minimum fee to be payable by the client.
Any changes in services may result in additional charges or your booking being ‘cancelled’ in accordance with our cancellation policy and may result in any deposit being non-refundable at our sole discretion.
If either party at any time becomes aware of a discrepancy, inconsistency or ambiguity in any document that relates to the provision of the services, they must notify the other party and seek to resolve the issue as soon as reasonably practicable.
8. Additional Charges
Parking and travel costs will be included within the quote, however, any additional reasonable parking and transport costs that we incur will be charged to the client at our sole discretion.
In the event that a booking exceeds the amount of time allocated and agreed upon within the quote, an ‘overtime charge’ of $100 per 30 minutes per artist will be charged to the client.
In the event that a booking exceeds the quoted capacity of persons, we will service up the agreed number of persons, or until the quoted time ends, whichever comes first. Any additional service beyond the quoted capacity of persons will result in a ‘services extension’ charge starting at a minimum of $500 and to be adjusted based on the attendees and time needed at our sole discretion.
Depending on the size of the event, and the ‘makeup bars’ ordered, we typically require up to 60 minutes to ‘set up’ and ‘pack down’. In the event that you want us to set up earlier than the quoted set up time, an additional charge of $50 per 30 minutes per artist will apply.
9. Client Responsibilities
9.1. Client Satisfaction
Any dissatisfaction in the completion of the services must be expressed to us as soon as realised by the client, and during the time of the booking. We will take all reasonable steps to rectify any expressed issue and to ensure client satisfaction. However, failure to notify us of any dissatisfaction during this time will result in the client forfeiting any rights to remedy.
9.2. Health and Safety – General
The client must inform us of any skin conditions, allergies, or any other health issues that may affect the service. We are not responsible for any adverse reactions resulting from an undisclosed condition and the client agrees to release us from any liability relating to any adverse reactions from an undisclosed condition.
The client must ensure that the client and the client’s party do not use, apply, touch or otherwise interact with our artist’s products or possessions.
9.3. Health and Safety – Refusal of Service
The client acknowledges that we reserve the right to refuse service to any person displaying contagious viral or bacterial symptoms, including but not limited to; coughing, sneezing, vomiting, diarrhoea, or any person with a visible rash, open wound, lesion or otherwise.
The client acknowledges that we reserve the right to refuse service to any person displaying intoxicated, aggressive, obnoxious or offensive behaviour. We reserve the right to terminate your booking if at any time our artist/s feel uncomfortable, intimidated, or distressed. Should such a termination occur, no refund or return of deposit will be provided.
The client acknowledges that, on the day of the booking, should we deem that the location is not adequately sanitary or safe at our sole discretion, we reserve the right to refuse to provide any services and to terminate the booking immediately. Should such a termination occur, no refund or return of deposit will be provided.
9.4. Service Location and Requirements
It is the client’s responsibility to provide:
a) Working electrical outlets at the location venue;
b) Available and accessible parking at the location venue;
c) A suitable open space location for the ‘makeup bar’ that is protected from the sun, rain and wind and is not located in any bathroom; and
d) A suitable location that can be sectioned off, for us to be able to ‘set up’ and ‘pack down’.
It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that any children are supervised by a responsible adult at all times and are not to enter the service area at any time, unless the child is receiving a service.
10. Artist Responsibilities
10.1. Services Undertaken
We are committed to providing professional and high-quality services. Our artists are trained and experienced in providing various makeup techniques. We will endeavour to perform the service to the best of our ability and to the client’s satisfaction, within the constraint of the quote and these Terms. 10.2. Health and Safety
All brushes, tools and makeup products are kept sanitary and are sanitised between every makeup or glitter application. We use high-quality products and take various health and safety measures to ensure the client’s safety and to minimise the risk of any adverse reaction.
Should the client, or the client’s party provide their own brushes, tools or products, we do not provide any warranty, guarantee or indemnification of liability as to their condition, quality or sanitariness.
11. Liability and Indemnity
11.1. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for any event or circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to; natural disasters, epidemics, pandemics, government regulations, including lockdowns or travel bans, strikes or other industrial lockouts, or the failure of any public utilities or transportation systems.
If we are prevented, hindered or delayed from performing any of our services by a force majeure event, then we shall be excused from the performance of this obligation and any booking, appointment or otherwise agreement shall be deemed terminated.

By booking our services, you agree to indemnify us against any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising out of or in connection with the service, including any personal injury, civil damages, or third party claim, including any claim relating to, or involving our agents, employees or contractors.
